100m

100m Preliminary Heats:

  • Number of Heats: There will likely be 2 to 5 heats, depending on the number of registrations.
  • Qualification to Finals/Semi-Finals:
    • If two heats: The top three finishers from each heat and the two next fastest times advance directly to the 100m finals.
    • If three heats: The top two finishers from each heat and the next two fastest times advance (it’s likely this means advancing to semi-finals if semi-finals are planned, or finals if not – the original text has a slight ambiguity here but “next fastest times advance” is the core).
    • If four or more heats: The top finisher from each heat and the next fastest times advance (similarly, to semi-finals or finals based on overall event structure).

100m Semi-Final Heats:

  • Number of Heats: There will be two semi-final heats.
  • Lane Assignments: Heat and lane assignments for the semi-finals will be based on each athlete’s preliminary heat time.
  • Qualification to Finals: The top three finishers from each of the two semi-final heats, plus the two next fastest times, will advance to the 100m finals.

100m Final:

  • Competitor Notification: A list of athletes competing in the 100m finals will be posted.
  • Lane Assignments: Lane assignments for the finals will be determined by each athlete’s semi-final heat time.
  • Awards Presentation: Following the completion of all six 100m finals, an awards presentation will take place in the grassy area at the finish line. Parents and coaches are welcome to attend.
